Agreement and eligibility
These Terms form a binding agreement between you and CultureOfHipHop.com. You must be at least 13 to create an account. If you are under the age of legal majority where you live, a parent or legal guardian must review and agree to these Terms on your behalf. You must provide accurate information and keep account credentials secure.
The service
CultureOfHipHop provides community, music hosting, studio tools, AI-assisted features, marketplaces, jobs, promotion, events, memberships and related services. Features may change, enter beta, or be discontinued. We do not guarantee uninterrupted service, commercial success, discovery placement, income or preservation of every uploaded file. Keep independent backups of important work.
Your content and license to operate the service
You retain ownership of content you lawfully own. You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, cache, transcode, reproduce, display, distribute and technically modify your content only as reasonably needed to operate, secure, promote and improve the service according to your visibility and promotion choices. This license ends after deletion within a commercially reasonable period, except for backups, legal retention, completed transactions, sublicensed collaborations and content shared by others as permitted.
Your promises
You promise that you own or control every required right in uploads, samples, beats, recordings, artwork, names, likenesses and metadata; that collaborators and performers have consented; and that your content does not infringe copyright, publicity, privacy, trademark, contract or other rights. You remain responsible for clearances, royalties, union obligations, mechanical or performance licenses, taxes and registrations.
Payments and creator transactions
Prices, fees, commissions and license terms shown at checkout are part of the transaction. Creator sales are agreements between the buyer and seller, subject to platform rules. We may hold, reverse or delay funds for refunds, disputes, suspected fraud, legal requirements or incomplete verification. Taxes and reporting obligations remain your responsibility unless the law requires us to collect or report them.
Enforcement and termination
We may limit distribution, remove content, suspend features or terminate accounts for policy violations, legal risk, fraud, harmful conduct or security threats. When appropriate, we may provide notice and an appeal path. You may stop using the service and request account deletion, subject to completed transactions and required retention.
Disclaimers and liability
The service is provided “as is” and “as available” to the extent permitted by law. We disclaim implied warranties where legally allowed. To the maximum extent permitted by law, $entity is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, lost profits, lost data or third-party conduct. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or liability that cannot legally be excluded.
Disputes and changes
Before filing a claim, contact [email protected] with a description and requested resolution so both sides can attempt informal resolution. Governing law, venue and any arbitration provision must be completed by the operator in the Legal Notice before launch. Material changes will be dated and, when required, presented for renewed acceptance.
